Stunning vintage 1935 CZECH “Birth of Venus” perfume bottle the base is a dark brown matt / amber color with swirls of fish/koi raised from the glass. The neck is marked 723 sterling and features a kneeling figural nude stopper. This stopper may have been a retro fit to this bottle factory? Or jewelry store/metal smith? As it usually has a clear glass stopper. IT IS VERY WELL CRAFTED. I have owned this for over 45 yrs. 3 footed base with chips on each foot as pictured (when sitting flat on table, the chips barley show) the one fish has what looks to be the beginning of a chip inside the body (as pictured)… It may be just the way the light reflects as it is smooth the the touch.
