This is a vintage or — most likely — antique perfume bottle. It is such a beautiful thing to look at and to hold: as you can see in some of the photos, the white pictorial decorations stand out from the blue. You can feel their delicate forms, which makes this not just a thing of visual beauty, but of tactile beauty (which is one of the reasons people love jasperware), not to mention its role as a container for perfume! The silver lid has a gorgeous foliate design, and it screws on and off. This is an incredibly feminine thing to have in your purse, on your dressing table, or just sitting around being beautiful. What a great holiday or gift item! Please look at the photos. They give a better sense of the overall condition of the piece than words can do. There is ateensy tiny chip on the bottom rim.
