This is a delightful Victorian (1889) antique silver lidded & porcelain speckled bird’s egg perfume bottle. The porcelain bottle has lovely subtle beige-green colour, with highly detailed and realistic speckles. It is in a matt finish that looks and feels like the real eggshell. S tamped on the bottom Reg No. 20772, by James Macintyre & Co. The company where Moorcroft worked. The porcelain is in excellent condition. The sterling silver screw lid is fully hallmarked and has cork lining in the interior. HALLMARKS : Birmingham , SILVER fineness 925. MAKER Cornelius Saunders and Francis Shepherd.
