This is a wonderful chatelaine style brooch with a pair of pins attached by a chain and detailed with dangling charms. The piece is worn like a sweater pin. It is made from a mix of brooches, chains, fobs, and charms. The largest pin appears to be a chatelaine clip with a loop end that was modified and made into a brooch. Included are a miniature chatelaine perfume bottle (the lid does not seem to come off), woven picnic basket charm, small pocket watch fob with bloodstone and carnelian with a pair of snake chain tassels. The chain looks like a classic Peruzzi or Cini piece. It features cast silver fleur de lis and scrolled flourish links. Measurements: approx 14-3/4 from the tip of one pin to the tip of the other. Markings: the back of the square pin is marked sterling. The stone fob has faint UK hallmarks P&T (Pearce & Thompson), Birmingham anchor, lion passant, date letter that is either 1900 or 1903. The fleur de lis chain, scent bottle and chain, and tassels tested as sterling. The basket and attached chain may be low grade silver. The hook brooch is not silver. Condition: the classic back mechanism on the chatelaine hook appears to have been removed and replaced with a well crafted pin, lightly polished, no damage to the stones.
