Vintage Christian Dior, Miss Dior, Eau de Toilette Splash – Full Bottle, 5.74 Oz. It is an Eau de Toilette (EDT) splash. This fragrance was introduced in 1947. It has been described as Floral Chypre with leather and galbanum notes. This is a vintage perfume and will probably not have the longevity of a new bottle off the shelf. But I applied a bit to my pulse point and I absolutely loved this fragrance, despite the age. It probably lasted about 3 hours on my wrist. There is no box. The bottle is clear glass, with a twist to the bottles, narrow panels. There is also ears on both sides of the bottle, as seen on the Amphora shaped bottles. The name of the fragrance is in a white painted like font, that was often used on 1950’s bottles. ¾ of an inch from the bottom front of the bottle it reads. Miss Dior (in Script). There is no underside paper label. However, the underside is embossed with a tiny hole. (see last photo) After reading about this on the web, this is considered a defect in the glass bottle and could leak perfume. However, considering the age of this bottle, if made in the 50’s, it has been around for 60-75 years with no leaks yet. New owner could transfer the fragrance to another bottle. I believe this bottle contains 5.74 Fl Oz by using the formula of the diameter of the bottle base and height of the bottle. Height of this perfume bottle is about: 5 inches tall.
