2021 is the 100th Anniversary of the Chanel N5 perfume, and what better way to celebrate this occasion than with a vintage Chanel jacket with perfume bottle buttons. A rare pieces from the 1990s, this red wool boucle jacket features a Peter Pan collar with a snap closure at top, TEN (10) gold plated buttons with a perfume bottle and CC logo etched design, two front pockets, and a double vent at the back. Lined in 100% red silk with red tonal CC logos stitched throughout. This lining design was commonly used on vintage jackets from the 90s and is important to note for authenticity. The gold buttons are also stamped Chanel on the reverse side. The collection/composition tag was removed, but the Chanel Boutique and size tags are both intact. The collection/composition tags from this period were often quite long so it wasnt uncommon for them to be removed. This jacket is in great vintage condition and all the buttons are intact and fully functioning. The lining is in amazing condition and shows zero evidence of staining, tearing, or other damage. The only sign of wear is on the front right pocket button. The wear is minimal, doesnt detract from the beauty of this jacket, and only adds to the 30-year old history of this piece please see photos for details. Please refer to measurements for fit and NOT the tag size. Jacket is marked a FR Size 40, but the drop shoulder and back double vent will accommodate a variety of sizes depending on preferred fit. Each bottle size is approximately 8 fluid ounces, has a hand scripted label, and a glass dropper with a rubber top which has aged. The faux blue leather box (outside measurements are 16 & 1/2 inches wide, 16 & 1/2 inches tall, and a little over 6 & 1/2 inches deep), the interior has an upper row and a lower row for the bottles, the inside back is a plastic mirror that has issues due to perfume being spilled during it’s travels. Each bottle is held in place by a metal clamp secured against the back. There are slots for 24 bottles, however only 19 have survived over the years. There is a little dust on the inside due to age. The outside hinges and handle are in working order and in good condition. There are some nicks to the outside box and some of the covering on the outside bottom has worn off. The latches have a key hole, but no keys. The labels have some wear and discoloration. All of the fragrances are from the 1990’s when the Guerlain family still owned the company. This is an absolute beauty a rare glass bottle splash Eau de Parfum with classic lozenge stopper & it is near A1 mint condition, it holds 100ml or 3.4 FL. One of the very few’splash’ EDP factice bottles to have survived from the days prior to CHANEL switching to the classic spray bottle. It stands at exactly 11.1cms tall by 6.6cms wide by 3.1cms deep (4.4″ x 2.6″ x 1.2 deep), it is in absolutely superb condition without a drop having leaked, there is not a mark to the bottle or the stopper, the only minor issues being one or two as good as invisible contact marks to the high gloss facing cartouche.
