Alexandrite glass bottle made by Frantisek Halama company Czech Republic. 7 3/4″ tall, 5 1/2″ wide 3 thick. Alexandrite glass looks violet color in daylight and most room light but looks pale blue in fluorescent light. An old importers warehouse find, still in the original factory box.

Stunning cut glass round perfume bottle by Irice Imports. Made in Western Germany and has original sticker on base. The bottle is made of beautiful alexandrite (neodymium) glass that changes color from a warm red purple to a cool blue purple depending on the lighting. It also can appear more or less saturated in different lighting conditions. Really a cool piece! Please view some of the color variations in the photos. The glass bottle is accented my gold-tone metal roses that make up the lid. This portion screws apart, and is marked on the bottom Made in Germany West. The bottle is in mint condition and with no damage. To me it appears to have been used for display only, not perfume. The gold roses are also in excellent condition with only minor wear to the gold from age. Total height is 4.75, including gold rose lid. Glass bottle itself is approx. 2.5″ tall x 2.25″ wide.

MCM UV ALEXANDRITE NEODYMIUM DIAMOND CUT GLASS PERFUME SCENT BOTTLE IRICE GOLD GILT BRASS FILAGREE VINTAGE. THIS GORGEOUS PERFUME BOTTLE MEASURES APPROX. 5 1/2″ HIGH, W/ FLORAL TOP, AND 2 1/2″ ACROSS THE BOTTLE, AT WIDEST. THE BOTTLE IS MADE OF RARE COLOR-CHANGING ALEXANDRITE GLASS. PLEASE VIEW THE PHOTOS AND ASSESS FOR YOURSELF. IT WAS MADE BY IRICE, IN FRANCE, AND HAS THE ORIGINAL LABEL ON THE BASE. IT IS BLOWN AND HAND CUT. THE BEAUTIFUL TOP FEATURES TWO LARGE, GLASS PETALED FLOWERS, ATTACHED WITH GILT STEMS AND LEAVES, ONTO A FINELY PIERCED GILT BRASS / ORMOLU FILIGREE HOLDER, WHICH COVERS THE GILT BRASS SPRAY PUMP. IN THE CENTER OF ONE FLOWER, IS AN ORIGINAL AURORA BOREALIS GLASS BEAD WITH A PRONG MOUNTED CRYSTAL IN THE TOP OF THE BEAD. THE OTHER FLOWER HAS LOST IT’S CENTER BEAD, BUT A REPLACEMENT COULD EASILY BE FOUND, IF YOU SO DECIDE. THE ALEXANDRITE GLASS IS A STUNNING BLUEISH-PURPLE THAT CHANGES TO PINK-VIOLET. I SHOW IT UNDER LED LIGHTING, WITH AND W/O UV ON IT, AND IN FULL SUN, OUTDOOR LIGHTING. THE FLOWER PETALS HAVE A BLUE-ISH WHITE GLOW UNDER UV LIGHT, AND ARE IRIDESCENT IN REGULAR LIGHTING. IN PHOTOS 5 AND 7, THE UV LIGHT IS DIRECTED AT THE BOTTLE, NOT THE FLOWERS, AND YOU CAN SEE AN INTENSE VIOLET-PINK COLOR. THE COLOR CHANGES ARE LOVELY AND MESMERIZING. THE BOTTLE LOOKS UNUSED, BUT IF IT WAS USED, IT WAS DONE SO GENTLY, AS EVIDENTLY IT WAS WELL CARED FOR AND PROTECTED FOR MANY YEARS. THE PLASTIC TUBE ATTACHED TO THE SPRAY PUMP IS CLEAN AND CLEAR, (IT LOOKS AS IF IT HAS NEVER HAD ANY LIQUID IN IT). THE GILT BRASS IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH VERY MINOR WEAR ON ONE SIDE, SEEN ON THE ROUND FITTING THAT HOLDS THE PUMP TO THE BOTTLE, BUT IS NOT VISIBLE WHEN THE FILIGREE CAP IS ON. THE GILT LEAVES ARE BRIGHT WITH NO TARNISH OR PATINA. UNDER UV LIGHT, NOTICE THE TOP SURFACE OF THE LEAVES HAVE BEEN COATED WITH TINY CORALENE (GLASS) BEADS, AND THE SAME TREATMENT WAS ALSO APPLIED AS TWO THIN STRIPS, AROUND THE TOP AND BOTTOM EDGES OF THE FILIGREE CAP. THE BOTTOM TREATMENT ON THE CAP IS ALMOST ALL GONE, BUT THE TOP STRIP REMAINS. NEVER HOLD THE BOTTLE, OR ANY GLASS PERFUME BOTTLE WITH A TOP LIKE THIS, BY THE CAP ALONE, BUT SUPPORT / HOLD THE BOTTLE FROM THE BOTTOM, AS THE WEIGHT OF THE GLASS WILL CAUSE IT TO SLIP OUT OF THE CAP AND FALL DOWN, LEAVING YOU WITH A PRETTY FILIGREE CAP AND A DAMAGED, IF NOT BROKEN, BOTTLE. THIS PAIR OF CUT GLASS PERFUME / SCENT BOTTLES MEASURE APPROX. 4 3/4-5″ HIGH WITH THE STOPPERS, AND 21/2″ WIDE. THE COLOR CHANGING GLASS APPEARS AS LILAC, VIOLET, LIGHT PURPLE, GREYISH-BLUE, PINK AND FLASHES OF MAGENTA, DEPENDING ON THE LIGHT SOURCE AND TYPE. I BELIEVE IT IS ALEXANDRITE GLASS. PLEASE EXAMINE THE PHOTOS TAKEN IN INTERIOR, EXTERIOR AND UV LIGHT EXPOSURE, AND ASSESS FOR YOURSELF. EACH BOTTLE HAS IT’S ORIGINAL IMPORT LABEL, I. Gorgeous Bohemian Pink Perfume Bottle Vintage Glass Posibly Moser, initialed? I acquired this from an estate that had a lot of Moser glass. This only has an etching on the bottom of the stopper and the bottle itself of the letter J or L or 7. This has an amazing purple pink color, similar to some of the alexandrite glass Moser produces. It is also a very good weight, finished beautifully. If it’s not Moser it’s certainly very high quality. Gorgeous is all I can say!
