Antique Sterling Silver Mounted Glass Perfume Bottle Birmingham 1915 HCD A lovely early 20th century scent bottle, made by Henry Clifford Davis and hallmarked in Birmingham in 1915. It features a clear glass body paired with a sterling silver collar and screw top lid, giving it a simple, elegant look typical of Edwardian dressing table pieces. Items like this would have originally been used to hold perfume or scent oils and kept as part of a lady’s vanity set. The proportions are nicely balanced, and it displays well whether as part of a collection or on its own. Hallmarks. Maker: Henry Clifford Davis H. D. Assay Office: Birmingham. Date Letter: 1915. Sterling Silver (lion passant)? Measurements. Height: approx. 8 cm. Total weight: 76.45 g. Silver weight (mount and lid): approx. 21.14 g? Condition Antique condition with age related wear. The silver lid has some distortion and is slightly out of shape, which is visible in the photos. It still screws on and holds securely, but this is worth noting.
