Vintage Perfume in Unique Faux Miniature Book Presentation Gift Box. Glass flacon with square shaped stopper, attached and still sealed by gold wire. Has not been opened. No indication but believe this is a 1/2 oz bottle, about 1/8th of the bottle appears to have evaporated over time. Original pink label printed with “S” logo, “Shocking de Schiaparelli, 21 Place Vendome Paris”. Base of bottle says “Schiaparelli French Bottle” in raised letters. Bottle is nestled inside the book, lined with signature Shocking Schiaparelli Pink satin lining. Has antique gilt colored spine, with the words SHOCKING and SCHIAPARELLI imprinted in pink letters. Back and front covers are paper covered with her famous pink colored hearts, with gold needles and the same S letter inside each heart. The needles have thread which are “sewing out “Paris France Les Parfums Schiaparelli. In light blue thread around the hearts. Book edges on all 3 sides are a shiny, gorgeous shade of gilt. Inside the book there is only one page, in gold script it spells out “Shocking de Schiaparelli”. Along the bottom edge of that “page’, not easy to see, is stamped “BOX MADE IN FRANCE. Spine shade of gold has either darkened with age or was that color to begin with, sort of an antique gold color, which I love. Gilt edges look great, a few light scratches, for lack of a better word, but still completely gold. Interior page of the book has yellowed a bit. Front cover is good except for a 1/2 square in the upper cover where I believe a label must have been. Perfume is in excellent condition. I’ve looked at many of these bottles online over the years, must say this book box and perfume bottle are in really good condition compared to most! Charming addition to your collection -what a find! This gorgeous, vintage perfume bottle is for Molinard by R. Lalique – Le Baiser du Faune – c. The all glass bottle measures 5 1/2″ in height and is about 4 3/8″ in diameter. It has the single intaglio frosted figures and the R. Lalique signature molded on the bottle. The stopper is the correct one and fits the bottle perfectly, and is removable from the bottle. It is shown in the book Lalique Perfume Bottles by Mary Lou and Glenn Utt, page 84. It is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or damage. There is no paper hang tag and the bottle is not sealed. This is really a beautiful bottle in superb condition with no detractors that I have found. The item “R. Originally given away as a promotional product, this bookmark comes in gold tone metal with a CHANEL No. 5 Perfume Bottle shape/motif. The backside reads “NOT FOR SALE”. Measurements: 1.5″ x 1 7/8″. Condition: Good to Excellent condition with minimal surface scratches. All gold is intact, with no silvering showing.
