Exceptionally rare matched pair of miniature perfume bottles featuring rich amethyst-purple glass encased in ornate gold-tone filigree. Each bottle is adorned with intricate floral detailing and sparkling rhinestone centers, giving the set an unmistakable Old Hollywood elegance. Dating to the 1930s-1940s, these beautifully decorative vanity pieces embody the romantic craftsmanship associated with antique Czechoslovakian perfume bottles. PERFUME BOTTLES ART NOUVEAU STERLING TOPS VINTAGE. PAIR OF VINTAGE PERFUME BOTTLES WITH ART NOUVEAU DESIGN AND STERLING SILVER TOPS. THEY ARE 4 1/2” HIGH ON A 2 1/4” ROUND BASE WITH THE TOP 1 3/4 INCHES IN DIAMETER. THE GLASS IS HEAVY WITH THE BOTTLES WEIGHING 7.05 AND 6.17 OUNCES. THERE IS A V SHAPED PATTERN FOUR ON EACH BOTTLE. THE SILVER TOPS HAVE A WOMANS PORTRAIT WITH LONG FLOWING HAIR AND A RAISED MONOGRAM F S ON EACH TOP. I DO NOT RECOGNIZE THE SILVER HALLMARK BUT IT IS EUROPEAN POSSIBLY FRENCH. ORIGINAL GLASS STOPPERS AND NO DENTS IN THE SILVER TOPS WHICH HAVE BEEN HAND POLISHED TO REMOVE TARNISH. THE BOTTLES ARE CLEAN AND CLEAR. THERE IS A SMALL FLAKE AT THE BASE OF ONE BOTTLE THAT IS MORE ON THE SIDE AND DOES NOT EXTEND INTO THE ROUND BASE. IT IS A LITTLE LESS THAN 1/4 INCH AND SHALLOW. WEIGHT OF THE SILVER TOPS WITHOUT THE CORK INSERT IS SUBSTANTIAL 1.31 AND 1.32 OUNCES. ONE STOPPER HAS A SQUARE TOP AND THE OTHER IS ROUNDED. IT IS POSSIBLE THESE WERE PART OF A SET AS THE STOPPERS FIT PERFECTLY AND CANNOT BE REVERSED. BOTTOMS HAVE SOME TINY SCRATCHES. BOTTOMS ARE COMPLETELY POLISHED FLAT WITH NO PONTIL THE TOPS WERE ACID TESTED FOR STERLING AND WERE POSITIVE. THESE ARE REALLY BEAUTIFUL BOTTLES AND THE FACES ARE PERFECT.
