Magnin in the early 1970’s. The iconic bottle design, Guerlain’s “Flacon Chauve Souris” (Bat bottle), is unsurpassed for its shape and the fragrance is warm, sensual and unforgettable. Condition : In perfect condition: no chips or scratches. The label, gold-paper with cobalt border, is glued into a well that is an outline of a bat. The iconic blue fan-shaped stopper. 3 1/2-inches H x 2 5/8. Inches W x 7/8-inches D (at the widest part of bottle top by stopper). Hallmarks : Acid etched into foot’s base: “BOTTLE MADE IN FRANCE” and “NET CONT 1/ 3 FL OZ”. Perfume Remnants : There is a tiny amount of amber colored liquid at the bottle’s bottom. Other details: The gold “G” button seal, thread and cobalt blue stopper seal are intact. There is a small hole on the left bottom side of the box-See Photo #8. 4 3/4-inches L x 3-inches W x 5/8-inches D. Hallmarks : ” Guerlain Paris ” is gold-stamped on bottom of the box front. Guerlain’s iconic “Marly Horse” (with “Guerlain”written underneath). The interior of the box’s top. Nest on the box interior bottom is in good shape. Staining : There is staining at the top of the well-inset, as the perfume bottle leaked-See Photo #9. My many thanks to the Kafkaesque. Vintage Perfume Bottle Presentation Lucien Lelong 1940's SPECTACULAR RARE

This amazing intact and unused Lucien Lelong presentation is a fine example of his architectural perfume packaging design. It is grand at 10 3/4″ high and 5 1/4″ wide (boxed). The perfumes have never been opened or taken out of their individual boxes. It is in amazing condition for its age. The ivory box is not the crisp ivory it once was, but it is still very attractive and clean. The box retains its full integrity. Two of the smaller bottles have slight discoloration on the lids. The large Indescret bottle is in beautiful condition with no damage. This is a perfume collectors dream. I also can not vouch for the quality of the scents since they have never been opened, but they have been stored in a dark temperature consistent place since I have owned it (30 years). Take a close look at the pictures to further assess condition. Please look at my other vintage/antique perfume bottle listings. My items are vintage/antique and may show wear commensurate with age. Vintage Christian Dior Diorissimo Baccarat Perfume Bottle Presentation. Still has Wire Sealing the Stopper. Comes with Original Dior Box. Baccarat mark on the bottom. Very Hard to Find Perfume Presentation. Clear (Box is a pale pink). (Actual Age Unknown) 1950s. 8 7/8″ tall (Bottle) 11 1/4″ x 5 5/8″ x 3 3/4″ (Box) Bottle and Box Weighs 3 1/2 lbs (Prior to Packaging). Please scroll down to view all of the pictures. Bottle is in Very Good Condition. No chips or cracks. Minimal indication of wear. There has been some evaporation. (See Pics) The Box does show signs of wear. The box has a satin exterior which is worn with some stains and there are stains on the inside. Due within 3 Days. Vintage perfumes can lose their freshness. Vintage Guerlain Shalimar Baccarat Style Bottle/Box Presentation Avion 1 OZ 4

Welcome to Marie’s Vintage Perfumes. This store is a collection of vintage perfume bottles from the estate of Marie-Louise Fredyma, my mother who passed away in 2010 after nearly 70 years in the antique business. Marie’s perfumes were a special place in her collection of antiques and vintage items and are now offered for sale as part of her estate. This listing for a non-MLF estate item. The items belong to another person that has asked me to list them for sale. Vintage Guerlain Shalimar Baccarat Style Bottle/Box Presentation Avion 1 OZ – 4 Height. Bottle is 4″ in height and 2 5/8″ in width at largest point. Bottle is free of any cracks, chips, or scratches. Box in good condition. Bottle has gold label “Shalimar” on front. Box in very good condition. Front Label in good condition. A very rare presentation, called the Presentation Avion (airplane transportation presentation), used this style of box and was offered on the Air France Paris-New York flights, starting in 1960. The box was slightly different in the fact that instead of laying down inside the box, the bottle would stand up snugly inside a small plinth, in which the box lid would slip over making a cover. The stopper was not inside the bottle itself but was inside a tiny cardboard box which was included in the presentation box. The perfume was sealed with a cork covered in a thin plastic seal. These bottles were made by both Baccarat & Pochet et du Courval , look for their logos on the base, an entwined HP or the Baccarat symbol. The House of Guerlain is one of the oldest perfume houses in the world. It was founded in 1828 when Pierre-Francois Pascal Guerlain opened up his first perfume store on 42, Rue de Rivoli in Paris. Pierre-Francois composed and manufactured custom perfumes with the help of his two sons, Aime & Gabriel. His unique approach was to personalize perfume for a specific person, place or event. Honore de Balzac commisioned his own eau de toilette during the writing of. La Sylphide, le Journal des Elegances. Scented each issue with a different fragrance by Guerlain. Guerlain catered to the high society of Paris, and obtained a very loyal following. The perfume house was so successful that Guerlain decided to open a flagship store at 15, Rue de la Paix in Paris in 1840. The house was at its peak in 1853 with it’s fragrance. Eau de Cologne Imperiale. This perfume gained Guerlain the prestigious title of His Majesty’s Official Perfumer of France. This in turn led him to create perfumes for other royals such as Queen Victoria of England, Empress Sissi of Austria and Queen Isabella of Spain as well as other crowned heads of royalty. Pierre-Francois passed away in 1854 and his sons inherited the perfume house. Aime became the master perfumer, a tradition that would be upheld for the next master perfumer in lineage. Gabriel managed and further expanded the house. Aime, created several fragrances for the perfume house, these include. Fleur d’Italie, Rococo. Eau de Cologne de Coq. And his greatest creation. In 1914, Guerlain moved to 68, Champs-Elysees Paris. The business was then handed down to Gabriel’s sons, Jacques & Pierre Guerlain. Jacques became the third master perfumer and created many fragrances in his lifetime. Eau de Coq, L’Heure Bleu, Apres L’Ondee, Shalimar, Vol de Nuit , Ode. Jacques grandson, Jean-Paul Guerlain is the fourth generation master perfumer and has authored several perfumes and men’s colognes including. Vetiver, Habit Rouge, Samsara, Nahema, Jardins de Bagatelle. Shalimar perfume was created in 1925 by the perfume house of Guerlain. It is is classified as a refined oriental fragrance. Shalimar is the flagship perfume of Guerlain. The design of the bottle was designed by Raymond Guerlain and Baccarat and remains the most successful of all the Guerlain perfumes. It was named after the garden in Srinagar, built for Mumtaz Mahal, wife of Shah Jahan in honor of his wife. Shalimar means’Temple of Love’ in Sanskrit. Shalimar proved to be so successful that a rival company decided to cash in on the popularity and launched a perfume of the same name, a legal battle ensued, forcing Guerlain to temporarily replace the perfume’s name with its stock number No. 90 on bottles that were exported. These bottles are very rare to find. Shalimar was one of the first scents to incorporate the synthetic vanilla compound, vanillin. I read somewhere that Shalimar was created from mixing Jicky and vanillin. The scent of Shalimar is deep and velvety black with the scent of lemon hinted medicinal vanilla. Night-blooming flowers, vanilla and musks blend exquisitely in this heady, romantic and sensual scent to create instant and lasting intrigue. Shalimar was presented in several different flacons over the years, all bottles will have a gilded label. The oldest design is it’s original one from 1925, the urn shaped flacon by Baccarat, this design was also copied and used for Shalimar by the glass houses of Cristal Romesnil and Pochet et du Courval. Look on the base of your bottle for acid stamps for Baccarat or Cristal Romesnil, these markings add value to your bottle. The mark for Pochet et du Courval is an entwined HP molded into the base of the bottle. The bottle is made up of clear crystal with a fluted base, and a blue glass stopper with Guerlain in gold. A very rare example will have the stopper in just plain clear crystal and gold lettering. This vintage bottle would have came housed in a lilac flocked hinged box, simulating velvet. The bottle will lay down perfectly in a specifically cut out portion of the box.
