This is a gorgeous perfume bottle by Rene Lalique. It is the “Cinq Fleurs” (Five flowers). Approximately 4 in height. This has no chips or cracks. There is perfume residue inside which I did not clean out as I know some people are interested in what this perfume may have smelled like (It is not still “fresh” but gives an approximation of what it once smelled like). Air Embaume by Rigaud Perfume Bottle Circa 1914, the bottle having a extremely rare! Sticker that reads Le Palais Royal, Obispo 5862, Habana (Read all of the description we have a lot of very interesting information, including Le Palais Royal). I will like to mention Cleopatra’s Bourdoir Sitte probably the best place to find information about antique and rare perfume bottles. In 1914, Henri Rigaud became sole proprietor of the French perfumerie Veuve Rigaud, whose name then became simply Rigaud. For the occasion, he launched the famous perfume Un Air Embaumé. Created by Marius Reboul, it was a remarkable success; 30 years after its creation. This sumptuous flacon for Un Air Embaume is very distinct and made up of clear and frosted glass, the sides are molded with nudes rising in smoke from perfume burners, the bottle was then decorated with applied sienna colored patina. The bottle was advertised as being manufactured by Lalique, but there is no existing reference to this being made by Lalique in any of the Lalique literature. The bottle was actually produced in the Bresle valley in France by the Darras Glassworks. Le Palais Royal was one of the most prestigious store in Habana, Cuba. Below is some information about this “Habana Vieja” store “Le Palais Royal” was the only official speciality retailer of watches, jewellery and silver in Havana, Cuba. Watches and different items that were originally delivered to Le Palais Royal are exceptionally rare and hardly ever appear on the market.
