Vintage Steuben Verre de Soie Art Glass Perfume Bottle with Jade Green Stopper. In good original condition but the bottom of the stopper is broken. Please see photos for precise condition. This tall and elegant unmarked Steuben cologne/perfume bottle is a good example of Frederick Carder’s silky Verre de Soie glass. The lustrous rainbow of pastel colors found within the iridescent glass are subtle and delicate, but beautiful. This gracefully designed piece, however, is dramatically topped with a stopper of flaming gold ruby cintra glass, and measures almost 8 inches from base to the top of the stopper. It is cataloged as shape #1414. Except for two small surface dimples, probably done during the creation of the glass, the bottle and stopper are in fine condition, and display very nicely indeed.
