A stunning Victorian solid sterling silver and cut glass dressing table cologne or scent bottle. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1889 with the makers marks being rubbed. It has been beautifully made having a faux tortoiseshell and silver lid (cork lined) with faceted cut glass bottle. The silver is free from splits repairs and dings. The glass is free from cracks chips and repairs. It is a good usable size measuring 4.5 inches (11.4cms) tall by almost 2.75 inches (6.8cms) across the base by 1.75 inches (4.6cms) wide and weighs 206 grams. A beautifully usable piece. This really superb Sterling silver perfume. Or scent bottle pendant has a real 16th century. Renaissance feel to it. It was made in Italy in the mid 20th century and stamped. Even though it is of Italian make this flattened tear-drop. Shaped bottle embossed on both sides with. Daffodils in a vase reminds me of old Dutch wares.
