Christian Dior Miss Dior Vintage 1956 to early 1960s AMPHORE DE PARFUME. PARFUM EXTRAIT 1/2 fl. Oz ONLY, I repeat only Baccarat made these earlier bottles, but very few medium sized bottles were signed. REF 1202 MADE IN FRANCE stamped in gold to the base. A priceless rare bottle dated to between 1956 & the very early 1960s. The box stands at 13.4 x 8.8 x 6.1cms (5.2″x 3.4″x 2.3″), the glorious bottle at 11.2cmx 4 cms (4.5″ x 1.6), the fragrance has deepened to a Brazilian Topaz, & smells quite simply jawdroppingly heartbreakingly out of this world beautiful. That these astonishing vintage bottles with the original box survives at all is nothing short of miraculous, that this bottle is still sealed is astonishing. The bottle is mint save a small amount of unraveling to the cord which has sealed the bottle, with the glorious (so called) Baccarat star hand cut into the foot of the bottle. Please note that these smaller Amphora’s rarely had the Baccarat logo acid etched into the foot of the bottle, but ONLY I repeat only Baccarat made these early bottles, please ignore any eager or over enthusiastic young perfumista or perfume blogger who tells you otherwise. An outstanding vintage pure parfum , within its original beautiful oval based. Parchment paper covered box with a touch of soft golden trim which also serves to highlight the front cartouche. The box is not in quite mint condition. Thanks to slight discoloration to face of the box, more to the back near the base, & the tiniest amount of discoloration to the base where the foot rests. An extraordinary find & perfect for all but the fussiest collector, with the added benefit of the inclusion of the now legendary Oak moss.
