Vintage Lalique for Worth Dans La Nuit perfume bottle with box. This boule bottle is in mint condition, sealed with both hang tags. One tag says “Dans La Nuit” and the other says “Worth”. Some of the perfume has evaporated over the years but there is still some in the bottle. This is the original version of Dans La Nuit with the moon and stars stopper. The bottle is matte with stars of different sizes and depth that will scatter light depending on the lighting in the room. This was to evoke a night time sky. The matte finish is intact with no loss however with age the patination was supposed to allow the stars to shine more. Lalique was forced to stop using this image on the stopper in the mid-1930s when Proctor and Gamble complained that it was their image on “Ivory Soap”. Therefore, this particular bottle with the original stopper is rare. Bottle is 3 inches high and 2 inches wide. Box shows some wear on the top consistent with age but still swings open and closes and is labeled Worth on the inside and “Dans La Nuit” on the cover. There is an intact cloth enclosure in which the bottle rests. This is a lovely item to add to a collection, very unique. I do my best to describe everything.
