One of the finest condition of these we’ve seen in ages, with the high gilded alloy ormolu still bright, the mirror still very nice (deep beveled glass) and both perfume or scent bottles intact with their original stoppers – mother of pearl shell scalloped to perfection and shimmering a rainbow of pearlescent appeal. These trinkets are mid-Victorian, or in France, from the Napoleon III era c. The measurements can be found on photos. Very good to excellent for age and type, this is an exceptionally fine scent caddy, trinket stand. The natural mother of pearl shell retains its fine pearlescent shimmer of color, ranging pinks to green (best), and there are no breaks, cracks, chips. An unusual scalloped upper rim adds appeal. Mirror is remarkably unscathed by time, the old original with deep heavy beveled glass – original. Scent bottles are 1 diameters and fit perfectly, as do their original faceted stoppers.
