CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition! DISCUSSION : Incredibly gorgeous hand-made Archimede Seguso Italian art glass perfume bottle, made in Murano, Italy. Featuring fluted (ribbed) body, decorated with pure metallic 23k gold infused into the glass. Technique of clear glass casing. (see’About the Maker’, below). Pontil mark/base have been ground smooth and originally polished-now shows shelf-wear-no damage. There is an artifact (indentation) of the pontil scar on base, which is normal and expected by collectors and caused by the normal separation of the work from the “punty” rod. Excellent, top-notch addition to an art glass or fragrance bottle collection, or a thoughtful gift! FULL CONDITION REPORT : We thoroughly inspected this piece and found that no cracks, chips, nicks, scuffs, flea bites, flakes, hairlines, significant scratches (located other than weight-bearing base), repairs, stains, residue, odors, evidence of grinding or signs of restoration could be seen or felt. Appears to be never used-just displayed. Any natural indentations, bubbles, tool marks, carbon/ash deposits, and/or any other natural textural features are all original and normal for hand blown glass. Wear to base is normal and consistent with age. NOTED : Pontil scar artifact on base (looks like a divot) is the remains of the normal scar and is recognized by collectors to not be damage.
