Just out of a local smoke free house is this fine and rare French Ormolu mounted crystal egg shaped perfume caddy. It has a swan finial that when depressed will mechanically open the crystal egg to reveal two french perfume bottles with acid etched stoppers. The crystal egg is banded with ormolu mounts and is set on a stylized acanthus leaf base. It measures about 7 1/2 inches tall and about 3 3/4 inches wide. The perfume bottles with their acid etched rose stoppers measure about 2 5/8 inches high and about 15/16 inches wide. They are both marked France and numbered 876. It is in very good condition. The perfume bottles appear to have never been filled or used. There is only some slight wear to the gold on the mechanical shaft and the inner areas of the egg mounts.
