This unique and exquisite piece has a three dimensional effect, with a deep cobalt blue bulb inside a larger striped white bulb, which is then surrounded by a blue striped outside bottle, giving it visual depth (see photos #1,2). It’s highly reflective so quite hard to capture the beauty of the piece. It measures 5″ in height, 4 1/4″ in width and has a 1 3/4 base. The clear stylized stopper has a 1″ bulb and measures 3 1/4″ in length. The front face of the bottle is flat, so that the three dimensional interior can be better seen. It is quite heavy, weighing over 3 pounds. This is truly a one of a kind piece of art glass. Clements began blowing glass in 1968. He has a Masters of Art from California State University, Chico. His works are displayed at the National Gallery of American Art & Renwick Gallery Smithsonian, the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, the Kishijimi Collection, Japan, the Museo del Vidrio, Monterrey, Mexico and many others. In 2001, Stephen and his wife Leah closed the Tucson gallery and moved to Oregon where they are still working with glass.
